In Full Bloom.

Flowers are one of my favorite things on the planet. They’re just little sprouts of happiness! So, there may or may not have been an audible gasp when I first found these floral shorts (on clearance, I might add). Their cheerful pattern mirrors the feeling of summer, and they can be worn on any occasion. What’s not to love?

Sew Patriotic.

I originally made these shorts for Forth of July festivities, but l loved them so much I didn’t want to stop wearing them after the fireworks had ended and the barbecue had been taken off the table. Thankfully, I didn’t go overboard with patriotic embroidery, so these shorts made a seamless transition into my wardrobe. The understated embellishments provide a twist on classic denim without screaming “Fourth of July!” so these shorts can be a staple for the entire summer.

Current Favorite.

From the amount of times I’ve worn this shirt this summer, I’m surprised it hasn’t (a) fallen apart or (b) been ruined by a large stain  (I’m probably the clumsiest person on the planet). Thankfully, the Gods of fashion have been kind, and my current favorite shirt is proudly hanging front and center in my closet.

Cordele.

Who’s to say that 97° weather and intense humidity can stop you from dressing for success? Sure, these weather conditions are ideal for a pool day, but when you’re in Cordele, Ga (aka the Watermelon Capital of the World) there’s no time to waste! I chose to wear this outfit while exploring Cordele’s downtown area because it’s another example of a casual-chic ensemble.
